A tintype of Kemp's drug store near the main
intersection between what is now 4011 and 4019 Main
Street, taken in the 1870s. Joseph B. Seth is
standing by what appears to be a delivery wagon. A
tintype is an early form of photograph where the
image is taken directly on a thin metal sheet. Since
there is no intervening negative, the image appears
reversed. In this scan the tintype image has itself
been reversed so it will appear normal. It is a half
plate tintype measuring 4 1/8 x 5 3/8.
