Detail from "War Department Corps of Engineers U.S. Army; Trappe Quadrangle 7 1/2 Minutes Series 1943".
This is one of the first maps to show the Trappe by-pass built in 1940 which paralleled Rt. 565 Old Trappe Rd. from Trappe up to Peachblossom Creek. It then rejoined Old Trappe Rd. up to Washington St. Easton. In 1943 this road was Rt. 213, but after the war, and the Easton by-pass was built, it was renumbered Rt. 50.
